This is going to be a short post, but the community seriously needs to stop whining at the Dev team about not having won multiple XCH after a month of farming. The #general chat on the Keybase channel is constantly full of people complaining to the developers that they havent won yet and offering “suggestions” about how they should be responsible for giving everyone free money. Its madness.
Stop complaining that the netspace is growing so fast. The more netspace, the more valuable the coin – full stop. Nobody will keep petabytes of storage online and managed for nothing, and the value of the coin long term will be based on the utility of the network. The utility of the network requires netspace, its that simple.
The frustration is understandable. Lots of people put money and effort into this and havent had any return on their investment. And the more the netspace grows the more despair they feel that they never will. But the purpose of the Chia Network is not as a money printing machine. The chance at winning valuable coins in the incentive for keeping the network alive, it is not the purpose of the network.
So please stop going to the developer team to complain that you personally have not, and will not ever win, and that they created a bad product because of that. This is very clearly an attempt at a fair lottery system as opposed to Bitcoin and Ethereum, and people’s expectations need to catch up to the reality. Chia is a different animal, does not behave the same way and will not operate the same way.
Its true, but early 2021 crypto noobs (like me) have invested a lot, because third world economys are failing.
