About a month ago now Chia Network threatened my blog with legal action that would have forced me to shut it down. There is no chance I could have afforded to defend any of the claims they made, both trademark and privacy. But Paul Levy with Public Citizen took me on, and sorted everything out. I owe the life of the blog to him in its entirety, as without him I would have shut down almost immediately.
But beyond even the immense assistance they gave to me, they also a ton of good work in the United States and help keep a number of the corporations and that affect us all in line. They do good work, basically.
I’ve been wracking my brain for weeks over what I can do to to thank them, and Paul, for saving the site. And I think I’ve got it, at least until a better idea is brought to my attention.
Until such a time that it no longer makes sense for any number of reasons, I will be donating 10% of all the revenue generated by this site to Public Citizen each month. Or $15 dollars a month, whichever is higher. It isn’t much, and they certainly deserve more, so I am also asking that any time you would consider donating to me or another creator, you also consider donating to Public Citizen. Because of their tireless efforts the internet, and world, is a better place.
