The Chia Fork Traders discord, accessible here, has grown incredibly quickly. I first saw it a few weeks ago and it was a few people trading Flax, ChainGreen and SpareCoin in a friendly barter system. What they have become is pretty incredible.
I have been wanting to do a post on this community for some time now so I popped into their discord to try and get a few minutes to chat with the Admin of the Discord server, Azile. But what I found was so much more interesting.
Azile was running what appeared to be an old school IPO auction ticker style for DogeChia and Flora, two new forks I have not even had the chance to cover yet. This was a bustling auction with lots of the new coins being sold for Flax, ChainGreen, SpareCoin, Seno, Goji, Chia and Tether.
As you can see above, I got a little carried away and used some of the ChainGreen I accumulated early on while writing about to buy 50 DogeChia and 20 Flora for a total of 9000 CGN. Did I get a good deal? Who knows! Is any of it worth anything? Who knows!
Let me know if you think this was a good idea or a terrible one. I legitimately don’t think any of these forks will be worth anything without institutional backing, except for possibly Flax which has avoided any issues so far and people seem to love. Also, I haven’t received my alt-alt-coins yet, but I don’t think that will be an issue since it took me a long time to get my ChainGreen wallet synced. I am planning a follow up with Azile and will link it here, so stay tuned.
