Digital Spaceport has just released a great video on optimizing the Mad Max Chia plotter on a really normal human computer. He is using a Ryzen 5 3600 6 core CPU with 32GB of RAM and SATA hard drives stripped together. This is a really reasonable system for people to be plotting on (its quite similar to mine). A lot of information on Mad Max will be about plotting on machines with more than 128GB of RAM and plotting into a RAM drive. That’s not really relevant to most of us, so I think this target is a lot more useful.
This is a cool project and if you are looking for tips on how to optimize plotting on consumer hardware this one is pretty good. It looks like this is the first in a series of videos on optimizing plotting with Mad Max on his normal hardware, so make sure you drop by his channel to subscribe. He’s a really smart guy.
