I have posted my first topic to ChiaForum.com, and it is a request for feedback on the site. If there is anything you want to tell me, or try to hurt my feelings please do so here.
Here is the body of the post, I am looking for all feedback on the site on how I can improve.
Hi there Chia Community,
I am Chris Dupres and I run The Chia Plot, a news blog dedicated to all things Chia and Chia-related (also dedicated to annoying @sargonas).
I am curious what the Chia Community thinks about what I am doing, and what you think I can do to improve it. My background is in Enterprise Infrastructure and Security architecture, not web development, and The Chia Plot is the first real website I have managed. So I am also looking for any suggestions on how I can improve. Both technically and editorially.
Criticism need not be constructive, all feedback is welcome. If you hate my guts please tell me why in excruciating detail.
If anyone moderates this forum I would like to allow all abuse. I want honest feedback.
I think your this site is excellent. You have timely info and provide a decent amount of information on each topic. The only suggestion I would make is that you provide a bit more background on any of your posts. Not all readers are fully up to date on what has gone on before.
Hmm thats an excellent suggestion but I’m not 100% on what format that would take. Like some pre-written copy I put at the start of a post about something? A glossary style page easily accessible?
I think just linking to related previous posts is sufficient, and I think you’ve already been doing that to a satisfactory extent. Maybe slap a “required reading for full context” label on the links if it’s really deserving.
Linking is key here. If the previous material is not in an article that you have done, then perhaps a link to a short “background” article might be in order.
