Small Chia Pool Chiamine has announced via their discord that they will be closing up shop. It appears they had some issues with their hosting, and it caused them to rethink how cheaply they could run the pool and how much revenue it would bring in and decided they couldn’t make it work.
I am not surprised, sadly, as this is turning out to be quite the cutthroat business. That being said, they have recommended to their farmers that they join ChiaHub as they exit, and the Chiamine founder will be joining the Chiahub team.
I am going to try and talk to the Chiamine founder when they have a moment and see if they have any light to shed on running a pool successfully beyond “have a big YouTube audience”. You can see the entire statement below.
