In a very different message than aChia’s shutdown yesterday, Chia Pool PoolHarvest.io has announced they are shutting down with a message on their website. This one, however, is not heartwarming and instead blames Chia and their strategic direction for the shutdown of the pool.
I don’t know how that is supposed to work, as Chia Network has not changed their business strategy in the time since the on-chain pooling protocol launched, but apparently the PoolHarvest parent company, Firx Inc, has a philosophical issue with not focusing on the coin price, or “community focused and decentralized markets”. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that running a smaller pool is basically unprofitable right now. I am curious if their ad-supported site Chia Profitability will also get shut down because of their lack of support for Chia Network’s vision.
Anyway, you can check out the message below and if you are currently pooling with PoolHarvest please check out the All About Pools series when choosing a new one.
I have been pooling in poolharvest, their numbers never matched, a few days ago their claimed size halved, I left them weeks ago, I did not understand things at all, and never answered clearly when asked through twitter, so it is no surprise to me they have been kicked of the game. No matter what they say, I guess they lied to everyone from day one.
