In a post on their official blog, Chia network has announced they will be partnering with BugCrowd – an up and coming security researcher community – to offer a new bug bounty. Initially the program will only be offered in beta, they are dipping their toes it appears, but they are offering entry into the beta for any established security researchers with an existing account on Bug Crowd.
This is a good step in the direction of having mature enterprise software. I can think of a few areas that researchers will likely concentrate on, mostly to do with keys – how they are generated and stored. It will be interesting to see what kind of value Chia gets out of this program.
