I really like the HDDCoin team, I think they are a real project with real long term ambitions. However, I didn’t really expect to be so impressed with their performance since listing their coin. As originally reported, HDDCoin launched at 3 USDT/HDD which was an obvious overvalue, and it quickly fell to about 0.20 USDT/HDD.
However their performance since has been great. They have been hovering around 0.40 – 0.45 USDT/HDD and there is some actual volume behind that. Its not a crazy high valuation, nor is it a 100x increase in 24 hours like a lot of cryptocurrency “investors” are looking for but it is real, solid performance.
As discussed by Plotzilla in his interview with Digital Spaceport, they also have a program called HODL coming where you can deposit your HDD coins in exchange for a percentage return. There are a lot of potential legal hurdles with a program like that so I hope they have their ducks in a row, but it is very interesting and I will likely be depositing my HDD into that program when it launches.
Edit: it has been pointed out to me that the volume is only about 12k USDT, which is still very thin. That is true, and this could change at any moment. Please excercise caution.
