This Sunday at 11pm eastern time the twitter Chia community had a low key twitter space meet up hosted by: @dylanmrose and @KyleLogiks, co hosted by @LebanonJon with a late speaking appearance by @bramcohen himself. Make sure to follow all these fine gentlemen on twitter if you are not already. Now admittedly I didn’t pay attention to the entire 2 hour conversation but I was there for most of it and here is a quick recount of what I heard.
The topic was Chia happy hour and it 100% lived up to its name; with about 100 members of the Chia community dropping in at various points of the 2 hour long conversation. Open mic was the order of the night and we got some really insightful conversation out of all the speakers. Dylan, who is the brains behind the upcoming evergreen farmer, gave us a quick but solid update on his project and some information on some of his prototypes. JM spoke briefly about an upcoming trip. The crew of speakers talked quickly about the upcoming DeX that is reportedly launching on the 5th of January (full story incoming). They also briefly chatted about the MojoDice cat that has been given to farmers who have lost on that site. The conversation got into netspace and drive initiatives with relation to price. The current NFT craze and the gas fees that comes with them was touched upon. Finally as Bram graced us with his presence the topic turned into network effect and the superior technology that is Chia. The Jay Gould interview was discussed; once again kudos were given to both interviewer and interviewed. The last portion of the talk was Bram being asked technical questions about the node and the programming used to develop chia.
Overall the conversation included nothing too much more that hasn’t already been shared or isn’t already known in the community if you keep up with the day to day goings on of Chia Network. It was really nice to see some of the greater creative and development community come together to have an open discussion like that, and I hope it becomes a regular-ish event. We need more community hosted gatherings like this to build the hype for Chia as things start to develop on-chain. Was nice to see quite a large turnout for an event I believe was thought of on the same day. Was super nice that JM and Bram came out, always nice to see Chia nobility interacting with us measly farming peasants.
Anyways I just wanted to give @dylanmrose and @KyleLogiks a quick shout-out for hosting a fun low key event and kudos to everyone that attended. Personally enjoying the energy coming from the community going into 2022. So much good stuff to look forward to, so stay tuned and I hope everyone has a great 2022. Make sure to follow us on twitter @thechiaplot; and me @smertxfo0d for all the latest chia content as well as other future Chia meetups and events like this.
