This morning, with the help of Chives’ excellent instructions and a little bit of coffee, I minted my very own Chia Asset Token, or CAT. It was super easy, and I am very impressed that they were able to get this built and working as well it does as quickly as they did. Lets take a moment and go through the process here.
The first step is to create an account at chivescoin.net. I just used Google federated identity to create my account, but that makes a lot of people nervous. Once you have your account created you generate a Chia wallet on their site.
Once you have a wallet you will need to deposit some XCH into the Chivescoin.net wallet you created. And by some, I mean very little. I deposited 0.005 XCH into it and that was overkill by orders of magnitude. Right now Chives is not charging a fee for this service, but they will eventually. Possibly soon.
Once you have put some fees into your Chivescoin.net wallet you really just need to fill out the form, decide where you want your tokens to go and how many you want to mint. Each one costs 1000 mojo, or 1 billionth of an XCH. After you fill all that in, Once you have it takes about 20 minutes to mint the tokens and deposit them to the wallet you issue to.
Once you have done all that, you wait and check your Chia light wallet and then you have an unverified CAT. Now that you have that, you can take that Asset ID and get it setup on TailDatabase.com, Chialinks.com and XCHToken.org so that the Chia community can easily figure out what your CAT is.
Right now its very easy to submit CATs to these services, but I suspect as the ecosystem heats up it will get progressively more difficult. For TailDatabase.com I filled out a form. For Chialinks.com I spoke to the proprietor, Jon, and he said to simply use the submission form on their website. For XCHToken.org they are building a submission process but right now you would just reach out to the Chives development team and they would take care of that.
Go check out the tokens on those services. I don’t plan on doing anything with the Chia Plot token so I don’t want to pollute all the gateways, but it is very cool that already multiple places (and a lot of new CATs!) are springing up so quickly. Kudos to the developers of all three services.
You can also add tokens to the Catcoin Discord, they track tokens as well andits easy to submit

Including Chives, you can also mine all chia forks with Coctohug.

Is there a way to verify what’s in the TAILs for those CATs?
