The Chia community has really stepped up its meme game coming into 2022; the hype being built on Twitter now is starting to explode. Lots of firsts and lots to brag about coming into the new year has set off a firestorm of community driven content online. It seems the community’s relative happiness has directly correlated to meme culture in this instance, and I for one am pumped.
Back in early December I made a call to arms and it seems like the Chia community has rallied. Having meme weekends in the r/chia community has turned the tide there a little bit and we are seeing a more positive outlook come from that sphere. As well, accounts like @chiamemes on twitter have rallied the community there by holding daily contests.
This is what the community needs long term to drive a more positive message, and I think people outside the Chia community are starting to take notice. Things like green laser eye pfps (editor’s note: Profile pictures) or having the seedling in your name on twitter show solidarity in the community. It’s starting to be “cool” to be a part of the Chia movement. That’s the point to having a positive community culture that can not only laugh at itself, but can also collectively engage competitive factions.
This is great to see from the Chia community and as things like the NFT standard are launched I think many will notice a flood of new users coming into Chia that are not farmers. 2022 is a big year for the Chia community and I for one, am starting to gain pride in this community. But I think the most important thing is that the Chia community is really starting to catch onto the idea of having pride in itself.
So I just want to send a huge massive shout out to the entire Chia community for really rallying together coming into 2022. It might be hard to understand now but the community coming together into the new year is really an exciting thing to watch. Hope is on the horizon, and the memes are Lit!
